Instructions
-
Marinate the chicken
In a bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Add the chicken and coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. -
Cook the chicken
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a small amount of oil. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 6–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F). Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes. -
Prepare the vegetables
While the chicken cooks, shred the lettuce, carrots, slice the bell peppers, and chop the green onions. -
Slice the chicken
Slice the rested chicken into thin strips against the grain. -
Assemble the wraps
Lay a tortilla flat. Add lettuce, sliced chicken, carrots, bell peppers, and green onions. Add any optional ingredients if using. -
Wrap and serve
Fold in the sides and roll tightly. Serve immediately.
Notes
-
Warming tortillas briefly makes them easier to roll.
-
Avoid overfilling to keep wraps intact.
-
Optional add-ons allow easy customization without changing the base recipe.
