Instructions

Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for about 5 minutes until soft and fragrant.
