Ingredients
-
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
-
5 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon lemon zest
-
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 teaspoon dried oregano
-
1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
-
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
-
In a large bowl, add the shrimp, olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss until shrimp are evenly coated.
-
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the shrimp. Add the dried oregano and parsley, then toss gently to coat each shrimp evenly.
-
Spread the shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Roast in the oven for 10–12 minutes, until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and lightly golden around the edges.
-
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
-
Pat shrimp dry before seasoning for best roasting results.
-
Avoid overcooking to keep shrimp tender and juicy.
-
Freshly grated Parmesan melts and browns better than pre-shredded cheese.
