Ingredients

Scale

For the ground beef

  • 1 pound ground beef (I used 80/20)

  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

For the burger special sauce

  • 1/2 cup light mayo

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

  • 5 teaspoons pickle juice

  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Water

Burger bowl add-ins

  • 1 bag tater tots

  • Shredded Cheddar cheese

  • Red onions

  • Tomatoes

  • Lettuce

  • Pickles

Instructions

  1. Cook the tater tots according to the package instructions until golden and crispy. Set aside.

  2. In a bowl, combine the light mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, Cajun seasoning, sugar, and garlic powder. Stir well. Add water one tablespoon at a time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency. Refrigerate until ready to use.

  3. While the tots are cooking, heat a large pan over medium heat and add the ground beef. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. About halfway through cooking, add the Worcestershire sauce.

  4. Continue cooking the beef, breaking it apart, and increase the heat slightly toward the end to brown the crumbles. Drain excess grease once fully cooked.

  5. Prepare the bowl toppings by chopping the red onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles.

  6. Assemble the bowls by layering tater tots, ground beef, fresh toppings, shredded Cheddar cheese, and the burger special sauce.

Notes

  • Drain the beef well to keep the bowls from becoming greasy.

  • Chill the sauce while cooking to help the flavors blend.

  • Assemble just before serving for the best texture.
