Description

Easy Honey Garlic Turkey Meatballs are an oven-baked, no-fuss option for last-minute dinners. Lean ground turkey is seasoned simply, baked until tender, then finished with a light honey glaze for a balanced, weeknight-friendly meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey

  • ½ yellow onion, grated

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ¼ cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs or regular panko breadcrumbs

  • ¼ cup minced flat-leaf parsley

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray.

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, grated onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, parsley, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix until evenly combined.

  • Using a scant 2 tablespoons of mixture per meatball, roll into evenly sized balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake for about 15 minutes, until the meatballs are just cooked through.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and apple cider vinegar.

  • Remove the meatballs from the oven and brush with the honey mixture.

  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 2 minutes.

  • Remove from the oven and let rest briefly before serving.

Notes

  • Grated onion adds moisture and helps keep the meatballs tender.

  • Avoid overmixing the turkey mixture to maintain a soft texture.

  • A cookie scoop helps keep meatballs uniform in size for even cooking.
