Description

This Best Damn Air Fryer Chicken Breast is moist, tender, and evenly browned thanks to a well-balanced marinade and controlled air fryer cooking. The result is flavorful chicken that stays juicy inside with a rich, savory finish, perfect for weeknight dinners or planned meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (68 oz each)

  • 3 tbs olive oil

  • 3 tbs balsamic vinegar

  • 2 tbs soy sauce

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbs brown sugar

  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp dry crushed rosemary

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • In a shallow baking dish, combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, crushed rosemary, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk until well combined.

  • Add the chicken breasts to the dish and coat them thoroughly, ensuring they are fully submerged in the marinade.

  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes. For deeper flavor, marinate for up to 2 hours or overnight.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F for 5 minutes.

  • Place the marinated chicken breasts into the air fryer basket. Air fry at 360°F for 16–20 minutes, turning the chicken after 10 minutes.

  • Remove the chicken from the air fryer and place it on a plate or cutting board. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.

Notes

  • Marinating is essential for moisture and flavor, even if done for the minimum time.

  • Turning the chicken halfway through cooking ensures even browning on both sides.

  • Resting the chicken before slicing helps retain juices and keeps the meat tender.

  • Cooking time may vary slightly depending on chicken thickness and air fryer model.
