This Lemon Garlic Butter Baked Salmon is tender, juicy, and packed with fresh citrus and buttery flavor. A fast, healthy seafood dinner that’s perfect for weeknights or entertaining guests. Cooked in foil for maximum moisture and minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pound salmon fillet, skin on

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 whole lemon, thinly sliced

  • Fresh chopped parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and position a rack in the upper third of the oven. Line a baking sheet with foil.

  2. Pat the salmon dry and place it skin-side down in the center of the foil, then season lightly with salt and pepper.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Brush the mixture evenly over the salmon.

  4. Arrange the lemon slices over the top of the fish and wrap the foil into a tight sealed packet.

  5. Bake for 13–15 minutes until the center of the salmon reaches about 115°F.

  6. Switch oven to broil (450°F), open the foil, and return to the oven for 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked to 145°F.

  7. Let rest for 3 minutes and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
