Description

Burger bowls are a simple, balanced way to enjoy classic burger flavors without the bun. Seasoned ground beef is served over crisp romaine lettuce with fresh toppings and a creamy special sauce, making this an easy, family-friendly dinner that works well for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Burger Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Salad

  • Romaine lettuce

  • Tomatoes

  • Pickles

  • Red onion

Special Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayo

  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice

  • 1 tablespoon dill relish

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and sprinkle with onion powder, oregano, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  • Cook the beef, breaking it up as it browns, until fully cooked through, about 7–9 minutes. Remove from heat.

  • In a small bowl, combine all special sauce ingredients and whisk until smooth and well blended.

  • Wash and chop the romaine lettuce. Slice the tomatoes, pickles, and red onion.

  • Assemble the bowls by adding romaine lettuce to each bowl, topping with cooked beef and prepared vegetables.

  • Drizzle the special sauce over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store cooked beef, sauce, and vegetables separately for best freshness.

  • Assemble bowls just before serving to keep the lettuce crisp.

  • Leftover beef can be reheated gently in a skillet or microwave.
