-
1 pound ground turkey
-
1 medium onion, diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 cup chicken broth
-
1 cup sour cream
-
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
8 ounces egg noodles
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Cook Onion and Garlic
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook about 3 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook 1 minute more. -
Brown the Ground Turkey
Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Break it apart with a spoon and cook 5–7 minutes until fully browned with no pink remaining. -
Add Mushrooms and Seasonings
Stir in sliced mushrooms, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook about 5 minutes until the mushrooms soften. -
Make the Sauce Base
Whisk flour and chicken broth together in a small bowl until smooth. Pour the mixture into the skillet, stir well, and simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened. -
Add Sour Cream
Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream until combined. Cook 2 minutes more, avoiding boiling to prevent curdling. -
Cook the Egg Noodles
In a separate pot, cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
-
Serve
Spoon the creamy turkey stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley.
