Description

This easy air fryer chicken breast recipe is perfect for days when you have no time to cook. Thinly sliced chicken breasts are coated in simple spices and cooked quickly in the air fryer, resulting in juicy, flavorful chicken without breading and with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 650 g (1.4 lb) chicken breast (approx. x4), cut in half lengthways (so you end up with 2 very thin fillets from each piece of chicken)

For the coating:

  • 6 tsp paprika

  • 6 tsp dark brown sugar

  • 4 tsp garlic granules

  • 3 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 200℃ / 400°F while preparing the chicken.

  • Slice each chicken breast in half lengthways to create very thin fillets.

  • In a bowl, mix together the paprika, dark brown sugar, garlic granules, dried oregano, sea salt, and black pepper.

  • Add the chicken fillets to the bowl and coat them thoroughly with the spice mixture.

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Arrange the chicken in a single layer, leaving space between pieces.

  • Cook for 10–15 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through. Cooking time will vary depending on thickness, so always check with a thermometer to be sure.

Notes

  • Cutting the chicken thinly is essential for fast, even cooking.

  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure proper air circulation.

  • Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model and chicken thickness.

  • This recipe is designed as air-fried chicken without breading and works well for quick meals or meal prep.
