Description

This dump and go Crockpot Ranch Chicken is a creamy, comforting dinner made with juicy chicken breasts slow-cooked in a rich ranch-flavored sauce. It’s an easy, hands-off meal that works perfectly for busy weeknights and simple meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)

  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients and allow the cream cheese to soften fully for easier blending.

  • Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the crockpot. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken breasts.

  • In a bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with the chicken broth until smooth and well combined.

  • Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the seasoned chicken in the crockpot.

  • Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily pierced with a fork.

  • Just before serving, stir in the sour cream until fully incorporated.

  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Softened cream cheese helps ensure a smooth, lump-free sauce.

  • Avoid lifting the lid during cooking to maintain even heat.

  • The sauce will thicken slightly as it rests after cooking.
