Description

Creamy Garlic Chicken is a simple skillet dinner made with tender chicken breasts simmered in a smooth, garlic-forward cream sauce. Using just a handful of everyday ingredients, this recipe delivers rich flavor and a comforting texture that works perfectly for quick weeknight dinners or relaxed family meals.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts split to make thinner breasts

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons freshly minced garlic (46 cloves)

  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

  • Split each chicken breast into two thinner pieces and season both sides with salt and pepper.

  • Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown.

  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute, stirring gently, until fragrant.

  • Pour in the heavy whipping cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine and scraping the bottom of the pan.

  • Add the dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.

  • Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

 

  • If desired, thicken the sauce slightly more using a cornstarch slurry, then remove from heat and serve.
