Description

Tender chicken slow-cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, then tossed with bowtie pasta for a comforting, homemade meal that’s easy to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights or relaxed family dinners.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 4–5 hours (low) or 2–3 hours (high)
Total Time: 4 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 lb bowtie pasta, cooked al dente

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and season evenly with salt and pepper.

  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then stir in the minced garlic until fragrant.

  • Add the seasoned chicken to the slow cooker. Pour the garlic butter mixture and chicken broth over the top, then mix gently.

  • Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.

  • About 20 minutes before the chicken finishes cooking, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • Once the chicken is done, add the cooked pasta to the slow cooker and mix until well coated in the sauce.

  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Keep garlic on low heat to prevent browning.

  • Cook pasta just until al dente for the best texture.

  • Stir gently when combining pasta and chicken to maintain pasta shape.
