Description

This creamy garlic chicken is a simple skillet dinner made with tender chicken and a rich garlic cream sauce. It’s easy to prepare, comforting, and pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes or simple sides for a relaxed family meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs (about 6 ounces each)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • Ezoic

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or unsalted butter

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 6 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Ezoic

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts or thighs evenly with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper on both sides.

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6–7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, stirring constantly.

  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits.

  • Stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using. Let the sauce simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it. Let everything simmer together for 3–5 minutes so the chicken absorbs the sauce flavors.

  • Remove from heat, garnish with additional Parmesan cheese or herbs if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Keep the heat at medium when cooking the garlic to prevent burning.

  • Let the sauce simmer gently to achieve a smooth, creamy texture.
